I just picked this up with a package deal and I dont need it because I have two others. VIN 9FO3W486357

The car was originally a 4cyl turbo but the engine was removed at some point and replaced with a non-turbo 4cyl. Supposedly it ran good when it was last parked in 1990 and it has a header pipe on it. I havent attempted to start it. The body has its share of dings and dents but nothing bad. The sunroof has the typical rust around it. There is also some rust in the seams of the doors and hatch. I do have a good rear hatch with a wiper that can go with this car along with some fenders that came off another indy. I have another fender extension somewhere to replace the missing one in the pic and I also have a couple extra TRX rims. The floorboards look good except for some light surface rust and the typical floorboard crack. The interior has wear but seems complete. The odometer shows just over 99k miles. $1500.

If you would like to replace the engine with an original 4cyl turbo, I do have available to me an original '79 coupe with a 4cyl turbo that you can use for parts. The body is shot but the drivetrain is there. It has been sitting for years and dont know if it runs. If you want this car I can get it for another $100. Please do NOT ask to buy this car separate.

Here is what I have for pics so far:

Greg how's the rest of the underneath look?

I'll have to take a real good look at it but from what I've seen the only bad spot is the typical crack where the seat bolts in and some rust where the floor pan meets the firewall. The rest seems to be only light surface rust. The frame rails seem to be very solid. The worst rust spot I've seen so far seems to be around the sunroof.

Price is negotiable. Save an Indy. I also have an '83 Capri 5.0 that you could use as a donor car if you want to go the V8 route. Will make package deal.

I would buy it, if only I was closer. It would cost more to ship it to Illinois than you are asking for the mustang. I've always wanted one.
