View Full Version : Yahoo! I made it!!!

Well the move went ok and we made it to Minnesota. When I took the Mustang off the car trailer, I had a terrible lifter tick. I thought I had major engine damage. It seems the oil worked out of the lifters and once it ran for a few minutes, it went away completely! Whew!

I left Indiana at 80 degrees and had the top down my last days in Indiana. Today in Minnesota it was 25 degrees and it snowed!!!

I guess it will be a bit before the top comes down!

HI Carl! Glad to hear all went well. Moving can be a real chore. Let us know after you settle in how you like driving the roads, and what the local hotrods look like.
It's good to have you back.

Its good to see you made it safely. Now for the fun part. Unpacking!! good luck in your new ventures. Just put a heavy coat on and drive around with the heater blaring!!

Carl, I'd be glad to store your GT for you down here in TN. And of course I'd have to take it out on the road once in a while just to keep everything in proper working order. How are the tires?

Welcome to MN Carl. Great weather today huh? Just love seeing snow half way through April. Where is el Nino when you need it. Oh well...beside the weather you'll love it here.

After the longer than usual winter we had this year, I'm exactly convinced about this global warming thing. The LX has yet to see the streets due to lack of April showers, and chance of snow this week!

Glad to see you made it, Carl!

Have fun unpacking - LOL! (Hopefully, you'll get it all done a little sooner than it took us - almost 4 years and still not completely unpacked yet.)

Hey Carl, glad to see your trip was uneventful! I'll try to send some California sunshine up your way! I know you miss the warm weather! I hope your company took car of you bud! I wouldn't be able to handle not being able to drive my Mustang all year around.

Hey, thanks for all the great replies all!!

It really does feel like a family here!

So to my brothers and sisters:

Goodson - Was that an offer to come and help unpack?

Mick - Nice of you to offer but the mustang is staying here

Gmstmpr - that "snot-cicle" thing was disgusting (but funny )

ShowStopper - Where are you in Minnesota? I only saw one other Mustang here so far - it must be you!

Chris-90LX - whisper when you mention snow, we are not allowed to say the "s" word here.

BADPONY (Brant) - My wife threatened my life if I didn't get the PC up. Yes it was a big priority!

MustangGTorg (Dave & Kathy) - Believe it or not we are already unpacked! We hung all our pictures and are completly unpacked. We wanted it to look like "home" right away!

Stewart - Thanks for the well wishes and the e-mail. It was good to hear from a friend when we moved so far from home!

Hey Carl, I am way up in Anoka (the northern suburbs). I am about as far north of Minneapolis as you are south. Don't know if it was me you saw. I just picked up my 90 LX 5.0 yesterday from Eau Claire Wisconsin. There is a definate lack of Mustangs around here, most of the ones around are in awful shape. And don't even try buying one in the metro area. Everybody here charges way too much for the poor quality cars they have. I had to go 60 miles into Wisconsin just to get a car in good shape with a reasonable price tag.

My 5.0 is a dark maroon, so if you're even in the northern 'burbs and see a dark maroon 90 LX flying around flag me down. It's always nice to talk to others of our kind (Mustang people).
