So I keep hearing about how the mustang is going to get this new high HP engine and a new look. Anyone know where we can find facts (not speculation) about this? Anyone heard what the new body style will look like?

So far the only thing that I have heard is that it is going to be based off of the lincoln LS chassis. but that is just hearsay

Actually it's the Jaguar chasis, and have you checked out motortrend.com's future car section yet?

I personally hate to speculate when Ford announces any new car. Every single time people begin to speculate about how much power a car is going to get, Ford always finds a way to disappoint its loyal following. It has happened many times. Do any of you remember the 25th aniversary Mustang of 1989 that did not come true?? What about the 300 horsepower GT for 96 only to find it in a overpriced Cobra and 215 HP GT with an engine that did not rev?? This is only that ones that really have made me angry the most. Oh, I almost forgot, the 280 HP 93 Cobra that only had 235HP?? I am pretty sure that there is more out there but I just can't remember. Of coures as long as people are willing to buy anything from Ford and Ford makes money, Ford doesn't care.

The platform(chassis) is called DEW98. Lincoln LS, Jaguar, Thunderbird, and Mustang will all share the same platform.
