$1.56 on Tuesday when I drove to work.
$1.69 when I drove home. If all gas stations in my area ran out in the morning and refilled with more expensive gas in the afternoon, this price increase would be justified. Anything else is price fixing!

I filled my Mustang up 2 weeks ago, and i payed $1.57 a gallon for 93 octane. but i didn't buy my gas in N.C. because its .10 to .15 cents cheaper a gallon to drive across the state line to S.C. for me to gas up. im glad i only live 2 miles from the state line

I pay about 60 cents/L here. I don't want to take the time and do the conversion. I think it's one of the lowest prices in Canada though.

Here in Beutiful Alachua County Florida, thanks to all the darn couty taxes, it is averaging $1.70/Gal for low grade, almost $2.00 for premium. What a racket!! Worst part is it is still going up. I predict that by the end of the month it will be almost $2.00 for low grade. OPEC SUCKS!!!!

Just for kicks -

1 litre = .264..... Gallons

Thats about $2.40/gal Canadian at .60, and $3.20/gal Canadian at .80

Todays conversion rate for the money is
1 US Dollar = 1.56385 Canadian Dollar

So, at $1.70 here, it is $2.66 Canadian, sounds like our prices and yours are pretty close! Hows that for using my browsing ability?

$1.739 f/ 93 octane at Exxon. It's higher at other stations around here. I heard of $1.80 from one of the guys at work today. I'm hoping it won't hit $2.00 but it may go beyond that.
Tell me it ain't no racket!

Well at .89 cents per liter for 94 octane here, my calculation works to $3.36 a gallon Canadian or $2.15 U.S. Either way were all getting screwed royally. Gas prices have almost doubled in the past 2 years. Good thing work pays all my gas bills.

Update.....dropped a penny......to $1.53 here this morning. Got two emails last night, which simply put.....said don't buy gas from Mobil and Exxon. The theory of don't buy gas on a certain day....last year, didn't have a major impact, so the thought is if you don't buy from the big two, they will have to consider lowering price if they have lots of unsold gallons or litres for you Northern folks.

I always buy Shell 93 octane.

Last time I gassed up, it was $1.69/gal.
Good thing I get 22.5mi/gal!!! in the stang.

That's just over 7.5 cents/mile!

It seems that they want to force people to buy the "unwanted" small cars since most people prefer SUV, trucks or big American V-8's. All I know that some one is becoming very rich all because of this Pyramid scheme.

i would never buy mobil or exxon anway...they're gas quality has gone down the tubes over the past year or so...texaco or sunoco for my pony...and only the good stuff...shame on people feedin thier beast 87 or 89

Even though we're leaving the original subject, "whats wrong with 87 or 89 octane fuel?" If the c/r is low enough, and the ignition timing isn't bumped too high most cars will run just fine on this stuff. When I ran 10 degrees my cars never had a knock, and ping issue. With stock 9:1, and running 14 degrees I'll be experimenting with 89 octane or higher though.

You got it LS,

The next thing I forsee is that the so called "Hybrid" or "electric" vehicles will be "pushed" (astronomical gas prices) on us and the guys driving gas car will get the big shaft with 4:10 gears. Hey it's time for wire and hydro related companies to make some cash too you know. http://64.21.184.154/ubb/rolleyes.gif

Take care,
Dan

and chris is correct as long as there is no pinging then the octane your using is fine...and besides i have techron in my gas so i'm special(chevron) =P

All the way up to $1.95 for medium grade here. They are expecting $3.00 by summer time. What a rip off. I hope all those oil companies enjoy raping the citizens of this country.

$1.59 , for 87 octain. Heres the deal, everyone fill your tanks all the way up and dont drive, for a few days. Ofcourse the people who live more than 3 miles disreguard this statement . HE HE . Instead of surpluse Money it will be surpluse gas! Here in AZ. they are starting to rise.
