Default Engine Removal 1986 GT Convert

1986 GT Convert
Without being to boring with the why's I intend to do this, just going to ask:-
Is it easier to remove the Engine with the Auto Transmission attached, or leave the auto in and remove the engine first and then the auto?
And then, is the preference to use a Chain Block or mobile type Engine Crane?

I would leave them connected it will come out. You can do either but I have done it with tranny connected many times w/o any problems. I use an engine crane but again either will do the job.

I rarely or almost never hear of anyone talking about any '85 or '86 Mustangs. I remember back when those were brand new and spanking the Camaro's back then. The Camaro's were cows back in '85 and '86 compared to a GT. That's why I always wanted a Mustang back then.
