Cool Mid Northeast Mustangs

Anybody else around here?

I'm out of Pinckney, MI - about a half hour north of Ann Arbor.

From the small world department, I was in Pinckney Sunday; my sister and her family are there. I grew up in Brighton.

Best Regards,

what are the odds of that?

there's a guy who lives around here who must collect the older fox mustangs because he has two or three 85-86's and an 87-93 out front for sale and at least three more behind his house,

Hi Jeremy,

I'm from Kalamazoo. Looks like there are at least two of us Michiganians hanging out here. Brrrrrrr.

This is getting freaky! What part of Kalamazoo are you in, Randy? My wife and I lived in Kalamazoo for around 25 years, the last 6 in Cooper.

Best Regards,

Hi Art,

We're about 5 miles south of I-94 or about 3 or so miles north of Vicksburg. Call it a 12 mile drive from downtown Kalamazoo.

Elkhart, eh? I used to head down to the Summer Street Machine Nationals at South Bend every summer. Also flew into the Elkhart airport for a meeting in Mishiwaka back in the day.

Howdy!

I'd completely missed the fact that Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia were lumped in with Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.

By "the bay", I'm assuming you mean Chessapeake Bay.

Slow to reply...

...I sort of wondered why we were lumped in there too...

...and yes, the Chesapeake Bay! I finally bought a boat to enjoy the Bay with this summer, I confess that is one reason I have been less active with my Mustang...you think your Mustang is a money pit! It can't hold a candle to the boat! :-)

88gtconvert -- yeah, normally the Great Lakes states get lumped into the upper midwest bracket.

stangfreak -- we have relatives over in Trenton. I figured that was right "next door", but it looks a bit farther than I thought.

I've never thougth of my Mustang as a money pit. In the almost 19 years I've owned it I haven't had to repair hardly anything. The biggest expense so far is the $400 for the new exhaust system last year. I finally had to write off the original mufflers due to rust holes. Of course, the car has run an average of 4000 miles per year since new.

Now flying will create a giant sucking sound in the vicinity of your wallet, for sure. That's been know to empty my wallet to the tune of a couple hundred bucks in a day.

Columbus, OH area here.

Stangfreak--that's a beautiful convertible you have. I almost bought a GT hatchback that exact same color combo new in 1988, but for some reason I thought it was kind of an ugly color at the time, and I went with a gray/titanium one instead. Now, 18 years later, I like the blue/titanium about the best of all (right behind black).
