MCA National June 22 - 24

The Bay Area Mustang Association and the Diablo Valley Mustang Association will be co-hosting the Mustang Club of America Wild West Mustang Nationals on June 22-24, 2007 in Concord, CA. This is the first MCA National to be held in California.

All Mustangs are welcome. Early models, Fox bodies, late models, stock and modified. In fact there will likely be more modifieds at this show than stock. And if you don't want to have your vehicle judged there will be a show and shine class. Over 300 cars are expected to attend.

Whoa, count me in - that sounds great. Hopefully they'll have more 79-86s than the VMOA show I went to in Cupertino - I won my class by default since I had the sole entry.

Hey 89GT2NV, have we met yet? I don't recall knowing anyone from Tracy but I have zippo memory so that doesn't mean much. The only other guy I know from the Bay Area that posts here is Rick. I drive the wife and kids through your area every month on the way to visit family in Sutter Creek. Let me know if I should stop by with beers sometime. Nice GT vert by the way.:beertoas:

I've gone to the VMOA show for a number of years with either my '89 and/or '69 SportsRoof. In fact my '89 won best of show at the VMOA show 3 years ago. I was unable to attend last year's show though and will be taking my Grande to next years show.

For the MCA show I will be taking the '89 and the Grande. Hope to see you there. There were only two unrestored Fox bodies at the MCA show in Vegas. There were about a half dozen in the other classes.

And if you want to stop by in Tracy let me know.

Okay Nelson & Rob!
I may have to make it out to this one. Haven't seen Rob since we took pictures of our cars at the park last March.

We can either stop by in Tracy and or hang out over at Arlen Ness for a bit. I love going there. I took Brian (Ezgoing ) there when he and I were on our way up to Concord Pavilion to see BOSTON.

You guys need to enter this show. There are classes for all kinds of cars. MCA has this reputation of having strict judging and actually it is very fair. You just need to choose the proper class for your car.

There are currently 104 cars entered in this show, so if you would like to enter please do so as soon as possible. Max capacity is 300. A lot of out of state enteries are now starting to come in.

I sent my $20 check in last weekend so I should be good to go. Rick, you gotta get it done fast or they might fill up before you can get entered. And a trip to Tracy to pick up Nelson would be great (is that your name 89GT2NV? Rick, how'd you know that?). Let me know how this all works out for you guys. My Dad and both my sons are going also - we'll throw the folding table and cooler in the car and make a day of it. Should be pretty cool. :beertoas:

Yes my name is Nelson. Did you enter the right show because this one is more than $20.

I'm going to be involved in the show planning so I am going to be there on Thursday. Hope to see you guys there.

I'm not sure how it happened, but I actually got onto a completely different site from the link you gave me and I registered for the DVMA show May 5th. http://www.dvma.org/2007show.pdf

Guess I'll have to go to two shows then. :naughty: Gotta pay some bills then should know if I can make this one!

So is anyone actually going to the MCA show? So far there are over 250 cars entered.

Hey Nelson,
If I do make it out to Concord, then it will be on Sunday. I originally planned for Sat, but my friend scheduled us for an indoor rock climbing session up in Santa Cruz. Afterwards, he and I are going to eat at Rosie McCann's and then go out to the boardwalk for the "Woodies on the Wharf" car show.

Would you still be up to a photo shoot with our cars in early-mid July?

Rick
