Default I can't believe it's happening!

LNor is finally in the shop for an engine rebuild! I will share the results as soon as I can!

I can dream! The jury's out about whether he can rebuild, or has to replace. A replacement would just about deplete my budget. He says "it doesn't sound bad". He says he can do some pretty serious things in budget IF he has the basic engine in still-decent condition. My wife says I can have LNor painted if he doesn't 'go crazy' in the rebuild! She's a keeper!

Checked in at the garage this morning just as the mechanic was about to do a compression check. Blown head gasket on the passengers' side. Free flow between the 2-3 cylinders! He'll do both sides and see where we stand then. No sign of bigger problems so far!

Engine is rebuilt!!!
New motor mounts going in. O/R H-pipe and chrome tips for the (already installed) Flowmaster 40's!
All power-robbers removed (except A/C- it IS Florida, after all!).
New brakes (rotors, pads, calipers, lines as needed)
New heater core (for the chilly mornings in Nov., Dec. and for defroster )
New wiring harness!!!

I'm trying to contain my excitement!

I agree with regard to the A/C, and I don't even live in Florida. I live in NY.

You know the old saying: "It's not the heat. It's the humidity."

Here in FL we have BOTH all the time! And you can forget what they try to say about, "but it's a 'dry' heat"! I lived in Colorado's high desert and that's plenty hot and dry!
