Cool

Well, Iím not completely new to this forum (used to hang out on the old board), but itís been a while and I see there are a lot of new names here so I figured that I would introduce myself, for the sake of those who donít already know me.

My name is Ian Chapman and I live in a little town called Shawnigan Lake in British Columbia, Canada (not far from Victoria where Wes is). Iíve been a Mustang fanatic since I got my first 5.0 when I was 17. It was a 1979 Ghia 5.0 with the SROD 4-speed which I owned for 5 years, and modified a bit over that period. Since then I have owned a 1989 GT and now have a 1979 Indy 500 Pace Car. The pace car is mostly stock (for now), except that I swapped at T-5 in place of the SROD. Iíve rebuilt the engine, painted/detailed the engine bay and done a bunch of other work to the car to get it up to reasonable quality. You can see pictures of the car and further descriptions of the work that I have done to it at my homepage ( http://79indypace.stangnet.com ). Though I donít currently own a GT, I do plan on having a 90-93 GT convertible in the driveway at some point, and my experience with these cars should allow me to contribute to these forums in a positive manner.

I am currently the president of the Vancouver Island Mustang Association ( http://vima.stangnet.com ), and webmaster/contributing editor for the Indy Pace Car Registry of Mustangs ( http://mustangpaceregistry.stangnet.com ), so I am fairly involved in the Mustang hobby (my wife would say obsessed!). I look forward to participating in this forum on a more regular basis and getting to know some of you a bit better.

Cheers,
Ian

Glad to have you back aboard Ian! You are going to like the new format. Things in general are very well organized, and there is still a good following as before.

Hey Ian good to see you! This new board is fantastic. I plan to keep in touch with you until I decide what to do (GT vs. SVO) Thanks for your help!

If you haven't already, check this message thread out!

Thumbs up

Ah yes, I read through that thread and figured since I already emailed you my $0.02 I would not bore you by repeating it here! I don't (SVO) want to tell you (SVO) what to do (SVO) as it's a very difficult (SVO) choice to make (SVO).

I do like the new layout here. It's much better organized than the old format, that's for sure!
