The other night I was cruising home from a friends house ,I came up to a stop light, and a camero pulls up next to me ( 86 rock heads) any way this thing sounded like a member of the honda stovepipe racing team , ya know the ones that sound real funny,We got into it from the light of corse he got smoked , but when I went to brake the race off he drove by me with these 3" tail pipes , Pretty goofy sounding. Have any of you experienced this GM fad?

Yes ive experienced it. Theres a guy that lives down the street from me with a nice GTA. However he has these huge chrome tailpipes on it and they look horrible. His car does sound nice though.

I think those set ups look silly, and worst of all they don't do squat for power or performance.
Last year I heard some guy with a system on his late model Camaro that made it sound like a 4 cylinder car. The sound also reminded me of when I rev up my lawnmower.
