Exclamation August 6th Large Car Show in Central Mass

This could an opportunity to get some of the New England members together for a Sunday morning/afternoon event. After the show, we could swing over to my place for a cook out and a general gathering.

On Sunday August 6th there is going to be a serious car show out my way. The “Wachusett Old Car Club” will be having their 32nd show. This show has been held for decades at Wachusett Mountain in Princeton, MA. It has out grown the previous venue and has been moved a little south to the Vocational High school in Fitchburg.

When the weather is right, over 300 cars will show up from all over New England and New York. Many of these cars travel, around the country on a car show circuit.

I’ll have to read up on what the classes and vintages are going to be showing. In the past cars from like 1900 up until like 1972 were entered in a pile of different classes and judging was conducted by the attendees.

They will also have a car corral for selling vehicles.

Advance registering of a show car - $10

Show day registering of a show car - $15

Use of car corral - $20

Admission for adults- $6

Admission for kids age 6-12- $4

Admission for kids under age 6- Free

Default I'd be up for that!!!

Sounds REALLY good, Chris!
Can you get more info about maybe a 'show-only' (not judging) area? I'd think a group of Fox-era Stangs could be a plus for the event (and the Registry)!!!

We could all bring enough food -and to share- for the cookout, too!!!

Any further developments/ interest in making this a get-together event????
I've already made arrangements to be freed up on that Sunday (one of the few times I do that!)

Jerry, I'll be going to this event if weather permits.

In the mean time, we might ask if any other members might be intersted in going.

In the older days, only cars from pre-1972 were showing.

I'm going to do a little homework to see if I can contact the "Wachusett Old Car Club" and get straight ansewers on what will be showing for classes and such.

It would be fun to get a group of us up there and then make a nice morning/afternoon event out of it.

OK, people!!!!
Let's see if we can make this a REAL showing!
Chris said that pre-72's were previously shown. Suppose a whole herd of beautiful Fox Stangs should arrive? I'd imagine they might consider 'broadening their horizons', don't you?

Who's with us???
