Default Opening Day At Watkins Glen April 27

They finally released the opening day info on Watkins Glen Track. On Sunday April 27th it the day the track opens and for $20 you can take 3 pace laps around the track. The pace car gets you up between 75-90 MPH at times. If the weather in nice I will be taking my 83 up for a tour.

Well went to Watkins yesterday for opening day, the weather was awesome. Here is a picture from tracktime. Wish the moran in front of me would have drove faster though.I had to lay back then opener up down the straights, and I was running on his *** in the corners. That 4 door Cavlier just does not corner. LOL Next time I I got want to try and get a group of 10 cars and then you can run all together, so you won't get a slow pok. There was a 2007 Cobra 500 up there that thing sounds awesome when he got onto it.

It sounds like you had a blast...and looks like you are taking a Sunday cruise . But really I bet it was fun and it must feel good to have the Mustang out again after winter.

Well it was fun except the guy infront of me only doing 55.I could not even see the car in front of him.I found out you can do it anyday at Lunch time to aslong as there is not a major race.Yea, the picture on the corner looked like a sunday drive, but the straightaways when I laid back till the slow pok in front of me was gone was fun, got to run the front streatch about 90-95.I was amazed at how well a 1983 Mustang Handled in the corners.
