Default Front brake hose tread size ????

hi everyone, could anyone help with id the front brake pipe inside tread.My 88 vert failed its uk mot test on front brake pipe rusted through,i need to replace the steel brake line and flexable hose.I can buy the hose in uk but need the tread size for the brake pipe union, i think it may be 5/16 unf or 1/2 unf.The old one is so rusty i cannot remove it.Your help would be great

Man, those UK guys are tuff....I have had warning of tickets delivered by e-mails and letters before but never even getting close to the car to look at it.
I had a toll violation last month but really it was supposed to have happened in February. They transponder is always in the truck and is on an active credit card. They said I fail to pay 4 tolls on one day but they got back to me 3 months late. Sorry about all that hassle with your 88, my 89 had lots of "check engine" issues when I got it but seeing it is over 20 years old we don't have to get the emission checked. Have you had any problems there?
