Default grille question

Some of the GTs have a solid piece where the hood meets the bumper, some have slots, with the blue oval.
Is this a model year issue or a LX vs GT?

I believe all the 87-93 GTs had the closed bumper cover while the LX versions (including the 5.0 versions) had the opening with the blue oval. The 93 Cobra had an opening with a running horse instead of the blue oval.

Jerry is right:

GT front ends were solid

LXs had the opening with the ford emblem suspended from each side.

Welcome aboard dagenhamdave! If you get a chance, please leave as a thread to say hello and tell us about your GT convertible.

Yeah, this kit is a little labor intensive. This would be one of those mods where you really have to be sure this is what you want to do. It's pretty permanent!
