Thanks for posting the cam chart and info. It's interesting. I didn't know that Ford changed the cam in their 5.0 Mustangs between the 1988 and 1989 model years. My car, which was built in June 1988, just missed the cut-off date of August 1988. This change resulted in a loss of 3 horsepower. I think that was also the year that Ford switched from speed density to mass air, which also caused the Mustang to lose horsepower.

![]() Augie, in '88 all California 5.0's got the mass air set up. In '89 and afterwards, all 5.0's across the board got mass air.
