You are not alone but if you ask anyone in Mississippi if they think they are from the midwest and not the South, duck!

That may be why this thread is so quiet.

So Katrina spared your GT. That's great. I have some friends from Hattesburg who suffered some damage to their home and cars. A tree went through their carport got both cars and about 1/3 of the house! I hope you made out better.

Hey there! Thought I would say what's up! I think its funny that we are considered "lower midwest"
Is anyone interested in SCCA events and drag racing? I am trying to find some good events to drive in when I finish my engine mods.
I think it will be at least Feb. or March before my car is finished. (just depends on how fast I work!)

Hey Dano do you go to Gulfport Dragway??? I am from Metairie and I head up there on Wednesdays with a group of friends to drink and hav e a good time...oh yeah and occassionally we race too. Got a buddy with an 03 Cobra but its hard to get him to drive it out there (7k original mile car) and a buddy with a White Regal T-Type. In the winter I'll be bringing my Turbo Trans Am so if you see a White GTA model with a turbo screaming thats gonna be me cause there aren't many around these parts.

Yea they do, I've never been to Centerville. They also so have some drag racing at the fairgrounds. A guy down the street goes out there in his mustang gt. He says there's a lot of ricers out there. He has fun with them!

t-topgt, notice you were from Batesville, I grew up in Newport. Moved away back in 87. Wonder if they still have the strip opened at Newport. It was a 1/4 mile when I use to go out there. I think they changed it to a 1/8 mile. They always had problems keeping it open. Don't know if it still is or not.
