Ive done alot of business with LRS and Summit. But Summit does not carry as much Foxbody parts as they used to.

Summit has great customer service. I ordered a clutch quadrant kit from them and I couldn't find the firewall adjuster. I called up and made a complaint. The next day I had a brand new firewall adjuster at my door - no charge.. and then found the original one hiding in the box lol. (I still got it if you want it lol)

American Muscle is supposedly good but I have never purchased anything from them.

I was thinking of getting some of my engine parts like intake, valve covers, etc from summit. You might want to look at rock auto. They are pretty good with standard parts. A good example would be KYB struts, they are cheaper by about $20 or so a pair then anyone else on the web that I can find so far.

And yea, I'd be happy to take your extra one.

Well I called LRS today and conveniently my "back-order" shipped out a few hours ago. This is the first time ive had to call them for poor service so I wasn't too worried about it.

The subframes, strut tower, and k-member brace arrived today.

I will take pics as I go.

Subframes will be last as I want to use my buddies drive-on lift.

I'm gunna try welding in this torque box kit myself though.. should be fun with all the rust that needs to be removed

Lots of sanding and painting today. Still need to do another primer coat and then a glossy black finish.

I really tried to get every spec down to bare metal. 60 / 100 hand grit and 120 da grinder. also used a grinding disc with abbrassive pads to smooth it out.

almost ready

The cold garage is making things take longer. I left the heater on while the rubber undercoat dries. I gotta go back in a bit and check on things

Well I started on the driver side which had some rot around the grommet hole, where the plate goes anyway. I thought I had drilled off target but realized the plate was backwards. I still managed to bolt it in but I took it apart lol.

I'm gunna try and just line up 3 of the old holes and drill 1 more hopefully works

I got the passenger side done pics to come (this is how I realized the driver side is off lol)

got that last bolt started and called it a night. more tomorrow

that left torque box (pictured right) is a mess. the floor was kinda warped there (rust/stress) and while drilling I noticed the holes were off. rather than drill more into the car I just modified the plate. luckily i got it all done and you can see the floor is now flat and solid.

I found those lower reinforcements to be extremely easy to do...haven't got started on the uppers though. I'm pretty easy on my ride though so I'm not real worried about them.

the uppers are very confusing. it says to drill from underneath but i drilled from inside so far and going smooth. im using a 3/8 drill bit and then elongating the holes (to 1/2) as necessary.

im hoping this kit fixes the wheel hop. i got spherical axle bushings that need to be installed too. it says to "freeze" them for 24hr before install
