Default Stepping Down as Moderator

After being involved in the 5.0 hobby for about 18 years, I've decided to sell the Mustang and begin pursuing other interests. It looks like I'll be stepping down as your moderator too. There are many other steady participating members that could this job well.

After advertising the car at a car show near me, I got two offers. It only depreciated $200 in 15 years.

I'm not sure what I'll end up doing next, but it's been a lot of fun having the LX and the '86 GT was fun too.

It was fun having the opportunity to meet quite a few of our members over the years. It was also interesting watching people start relationships, get married and start a family.

Take care everyone!

I just want to say that it's been a pleasure communicating with all of you over the years. It's been about 15!!

Let me know how the interviews go when The Bowers start the replacement process.

I'll never forget guys like Snake and Disco. They offered us years of experience and good conversation.

Mito, it's been a good time here. I've enjoyed the experiences you've shared with us.

The earlier days here were the most fun. We had some regular characters!

Keep us posted on what the next Mustang could be.

Shaker, I've just got to the point where the car wasn't being used like it was the first dozen years I owned it. It's been sitting and should have another owner who will enjoy using it. The guy I sold it to has his own auto body shop and had a similar car back in 1990.

KS, I'll be stopping by. I just can't keep pretending to be the moderator when I'm more involved with other activities. It would be like a vegetarian selling meat at a deli.

It was bad enough that I have not owned a GT since the year 2000.

Jerry, it's not that bad!

We did have some fun getting together at Epping and doing the other car stuff.

It was just time to sell the car and begin looking at other hobby options. I did well selling it. I pretty much got my asking price. The car only depreciated like $200 in 15 years.....so much for Wendy's '99 Escort wagon.

I hope you can hang onto your '85 as long as you can.

Best of luck with everything and if you ever come North to visit, drop me a line.

Hi Chris,

I'm sorry to hear that you are stepping down and that your interests have pulled you in a different direction.

It's been great communicating with you. You have been a great friend to everyone. You will be missed.

You were definitely one of the GREATS who 'lured' me into this site and made it my 'ethernet home' for so long.

I still want to know if you've gotten rich with your metal detector!
I will always own LNor as long as she has any structural/mechanical integrity. I did come close to letting her go when I had to set her down for so long due to the engine troubles. But now she's in a good shop being examined and evaluated for what needs doing. I'm hoping for a soon return to being active.

And I will definitely ring you up whenever I get north. It'll be warm weather, though!!!
Check your PMs!

Haven't checked in for ages (shame on me) only to drop in and read this. Wow!

You stepping down and selling the LX is a shock to say the least.

Wishing all the best in your future. Life marches on!
