Exclamation Important!! Please Read Before Posting A New For Sale Ad!!!

Some of you may have noticed that classifieds section has changed… we have split the “Cars For Sale” into two separate sections - “1982-1993 Mustang GT /3rd Generation Mustang – For Sale” and the “1982-1993 Mustang GT / 3rd Generation Mustang – Wanted”. In addition, all 1982-1993 Mustang GT’s posted for sale will now be required to be entered into our registry before the “for sale” listing will be approved for display. Because of this, new threads in the “For Sale” forum will now be moderated and will not display immediately after they are posted.

This is how it will work if you wish to sell your GT here:
  1. REGISTER your GT (enter the data from your 1982-1993 Mustang GT into our database)
  2. post your GT for sale classified ad in a new thread like you always have (after you click “Submit New Thread”, your new thread will not display right away pending our review)
  3. send me a private message (PM) with your GT’s VIN immediately after submitting your “for sale” ad
  4. we will get a notification that a new ad has been posted along with your PM containing your VIN
  5. when we receive your VIN, we will check it against our database to confirm that your GT is registered
  6. if your GT is registered in our database, we will approve your for sale ad right away
  7. if your GT is NOT registered in our database, we will send you a PM requesting you to register it before we can approve your for sale ad (after you get your GT entered into the database, please send me a PM and your ad will then be approved)

Please understand that this is not intended to make it harder to post for sale ads. The intent is to get GT owners that use our site to help us out by entering their cars into the database (while we’re helping them sell their car). After all, our primary focus as a “registry” is to collect data from these cars. We have had literally hundreds of GT’s listed here for sale that have never been entered into our registry… in the past, we have asked people to register their GT’s after their “for sale” ads have been posted with little result.

Now that the registry forms are back on-line, we are making a concerted effort to get ALL 1982-1993 GT owners that visit our website to enter their cars’ data into the registry.

If any one has any questions about this, feel free to let us know.
