Best Oil Filter

What is the best oil filter, you guys use? What is the best out there? I have used AMSOIL Ea Oil Filters and it's made by Purolator rumor has it the OEM filter is the same as the Pure one oil filter which is easily the best filter on the market.

The best filter

Amsoil oil filters are NOT by Purolator. Amsoil has nano technology that other filters do not have.

If you want the ULTIMATE in oil filters, you want a bypass filter. There's 3 good ones that I know of.

#1 The Amsoil dual bypass filter. Filters the best down to 1 or 2 microns. The large filter lasts up to 60,000 and the other filter goes 15,000 to 25,000.

Cons: expensive and somewhat of a project to install. May require fabrication of mounting brackets.

#2 Frantz. Similar to the Amsoil filter.
Cons: same as Amsoil

#3 Trasko. WAY easier. You can simply swap out your existing filter and use this one. The filters last up to 10,000 miles. So basically for $100, you can go 100,000 miles and may never have to change your oil the entire time.

Cons: You can't go 60,000 the way you can with Amsoil, but your oil still looks almost like new even with super high miles on the car.

If using any of these filters, I would only recommend using Amsoil or Motul oils. You want the best oil in the world that is made to last. Oil doesn't wear out. It only gets dirty. A bypass filter makes the oil last by crazy amounts. You could probably get by draining the oil every 50,000 to 100,000 miles with one of these filters, or even longer depending on the oil analysis. Every time you top off with a little oil during a filter change, it replenishes the TBN levels.

Before saying anything negative, TRY these filters first. Believe me, YOU WILL BE AMAZED! You cannot go wrong with any of them. If you're one of those people who hates car payments and believes in keeping a vehicle for the long haul, you should use bypass filters in every vehicle you own.

:great:
