Does anyone know what year those adhesive tags with the car's V.I.N. started appearing on the body panels? My '86 GT didn't seem to have any, but my '90 LX is loaded with them.

Hmmm, good question... that's one thing we haven't gathered any info on, but it should be easy to figure out. I can't remember if our '89 LX 5.0L had any... but I think it did. I'm thinking it may have started in 1987??

Hey, 1987-1889 owners, chime in here and let us know whether you have these VIN stickers on your body panels...

There was a chance my 1986 GT could have had this numbering, but it was repainted at some point. At the repaint all I.D. could have been removed from the panels, doors, and hatchback.
I think this could be a good tool use when checking into a Mustang for the sake of originality.
If any one has a good straight, and original paint car they should be able to help out.
