1. Does the GT 302 have a 4 Bolt Main or a 2 Bolt Main?

2. Does the GT 302 have a roller timing chain or a standard timing chain?

3. Anybody know of any good spec books where I might find some good specs?

Something about 153k on my engine. I'm thinkin it's time for something new. 87 GT, runs 13.35 on a stock block, n/a.

Look under the GT Registry Book and Video Store - Featured Items near the top of the page. The far left book is great for that kind of thing. I got it when it came out and have used it many many times.

The '69-'70 BOSS 302 block had 4-bolt main caps. All other production 302 blocks had 2-bolt main caps.

All 5.0L H.O. engines '82-'94 had double roller timing chains.
