Was there a plant in san jose? I know its a Cali car, but I dont remember one in san jose!
Where was my car made!

Hey BLACK88302, when you decoded and got San Jose, all that it means is when the car left the factory in Deerborn MI, that San Jose was it's destonation of delivery, So thats how you get San Jose.. Hope that this answers your question http://64.21.184.154/ubb/smile.gif

There was an Assembly Plant in San Jose, CA but Mustang production ceased there in late '70.
Don't confuse the Assembly Plant(VIN position 11) with the DSO(District Sales Office, 72 for San Jose).

The assembly plant that was in San Jose is now known as the Great Mall of the Bay Area. When it first opened and before all the shops were filled, Ford supplied a few vehicles for display. The ones that I remember were a 65 conv (that was built there) and a concept car.
