i've had my stang for about a year now, and me and my dad have rebuilt the tranny put new exhaust and headers etc. my ? is i don't know if the air silencer was removed by the previous owner. i know it's inside the fender, but what does it look like?? thanks

The air silencer (atleast on my '88) had an inlet hole about 2" wide that lead to a tubular kind of box. It is somewhat similar in shape to a supercharger, in a way.

Well I have no idea about your silencer, but I did want to say, that isn't a stupid question. You are trying to locate something to work on your stang. And more importantly you are trying to learn, which is always good. http://64.21.184.154/ubb/smile.gif
