i have a friend looking to purchase a turbo gt i have acctually only seen two of these cars im pretty sure both were either 83 or 84 models does anyone know what years they were built or how many were built also how much is one worth compared to a 5.0 of comparible year and condition?
You are correct, '83 and '84 were the only years the Turbo GT was produced. I don't have the production numbers right in front of me but if I can find them, I'll post them later. Rest assured, production was low for both years. Collectability may be more than the 5.0L GT of the same year, particularly the convertible model. I'd buy one if I had the cash and place to store it.

thanks mick i figured production was low because you just dont see them around and thats why he wants one(collectability) it seems he has found one at a local car lot that got it in on trade with a good body and interior just needs minor engine work best part is they have no idea of the value hes getting it for $800 and making them throw in two new tires

well i took him to pick it up and i cant believe it the car needs one front fender because of a dent and it needs a driver seat it has the original rims in the hatch with no tires but they are there and the little 2.3 needs a rear main seal and has a slight miss under load(it still has the original plug wires so maybe a tuneup will help the miss) other than that its in great shape hard to believe he got it for $800
by the way i sent him a link to the registry and he said he will add it once the registry is available again
